On KGO, should Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley commute be covered more often than “North Bay” commute?

I commute from Santa Cruz to Sunnyvale every day and almost never do I hear traffic reports for my commute on KGO. However, if I’m interested in accidents occuring in Fairfield, Vallejo and other far North commutes, I’m totally up to speed. Why? WHY?!?
